Brand of the Moment: Rimmel

Some of my favourite posts to write and some of the most popular with all of you are my brand of the moment posts, and so I decided it was time to do another - this time on Rimmel! Rimmel is an affordable make-up brand that's readily available in shops like Boots and Superdrug, and they have a huge variety of products to choose from.

Wake Me Up Foundation and Concealer - As I've previously mentioned, this foundation did actually end up breaking me out, however this is probably due to my sensitive skin as it seems to go down a hit with other people. I really liked the formula of this though and I wish I could use it. On the other hand, I absolutely love their concealer! It's amazing for brightening up under eye circles, and it's also a light consistency which I like.

Stay Matte Powder - The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is some what of a classic powder choice for bloggers, and it's definitely my favourite. As you can see, I have hit pan and will definitely be repurchasing it when it's out. I can get quite oily on my t-zone and so this is perfect for keeping my make-up set throughout the day.

Scandaleyes Eyeliner - This is a slightly newer purchase for me compared to the rest of the products, but I've definitely tested it enough to know that I like it. In general, I'm not a huge eyeliner wearer - I just can't get the hang of it - but using a felt tip like this makes for really easy application so I'm slowly starting to wear it more. I think this is a really great product that will be perfect for eyeliner newbies like me.

60 Second Nail Polishes - As mentioned in my Drugstore Nail Polish Comparison post, Rimmel's polishes are some of my favourites. I love the formula of them and the thick brush makes them really easy to apply. On average, they're opaque in 2 coats and they also dry very quickly. I've actually just been given one of the Rita Ora polishes from my friend which I also can't wait to try out!

What are your thoughts on Rimmel? What are your favourite products of theirs?

  1. I don't own too many Rimmel products, but I have always really loved their eyeliners. I might just have to go and buy the Scandaleyes eyeliner since I, too am not the best at it's application.

  2. I didn't get on so well with the concealer as I found it didn't last on me but I use the 60 second polishes and the Stay Matte powder most days! Also I'm not sure whether you'd have the same problem as you did with the WMU foundation but I love their 25 Hour Lasting Finish foundation, it may be worth a go if you need a new one! :) xx

  3. Love their stay matte powder and scandal eyes liners. I also love the Kate lipsticks. I do want to try some of their foundations and concealers.

  4. I love, love, love the Stay Matte Powder! :) Great post as always xx

  5. I love Rimmel too. It's deffo my favourite drugstore brand! Have you tried the Match Perfection foundation? LIFESAAVER!

    1. No I haven't, I really want to but I'm scared it will break me out as well! x

  6. Love this post as Rimmel is probably my favourite high street brand! I am yet to try the Scandaleyes eyeliners, but I've been hearing wonders about them, and I also can't wait to try that concealer - such a pity that I can't find them in my country!

  7. i have recently been trialing lots of ciate polishes and found they were chipping thought perhaps i wasn't leaving them to dry or just doing too much. however, i used one of these polishes and applied it three days ago and i'm still chip free. it's love!
